Collegiate Baseball's Pre-Season Top 40

I know this poll was released back before the holidays but better late than never.  Collegiate Baseball Newspaper released it's 2013 College Baseball Pre-Season Poll and has the Arkansas Razorbacks as their number one team in the nation.

The SLU Lions, coming off of their fourth consecutive 35 plus win season, received votes in the pre-season poll, along with Southland Conference members Sam Houston State and Oral Roberts.  Jay Artigues' Lions, coming of an appearance in the SLC title game, will face two teams ranked in the top 25 in LSU (#4) and Ole Miss (#25).  The Lions will also face five teams (Tulane, Alabama, South Alabama, Sam Houston & Oral Roberts) who received votes in the poll.

Is ESPN Leading the Way for College Baseball?

With the popularity of college baseball at an all-time high these days, much thanks should be given to the folks over at ESPN.  When the hardcore college baseball fans moaned that baseball needed more airtime they delivered with coverage of the Super Regionals, along with their annual showcase of the College World Series.
