* March 13: Ty Summerlin becomes the Lions All-Time Hits leader as he collects career hit number 211 against McNeese State at Alumni Field. Ty ends his career with 276 hits.
* March 17: Coach Jay Artigues gets his 100th career win in a 5-3 road victory over Tulane. Coach Artigues reaches this milestone in just his 4th year as Lions skipper.
* March 28: Ty Summerlin scores his 150th career run to pass Kenny Langlois as the leader in career runs scored.
* April 17: Cass Hargis Hits for The Cycle against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in a 4-3 victory! Hargis went 4-4 on the night with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored; hitting a HR, single, triple, then double. Cass is the first in school history to complete this feat. Congrats to him & all those in attendance....you witnessed a little piece of history!
* April 17: Chris Franklin makes his way to the top of the leader board by recording his 9th save of the season against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and passing Chris Province as the single season saves leader. Franklin would go on to record 12 saves on the season.
* Pitchers Chris Franklin and Ryan Boudreaux named to the 2009 All Southland Conference Honorable Mention team.
* Ty Summerlin and Brian McCants named to the 2009 Southland Conference All-Tournament team.
* Josh Cryer named 1st team Academic All-District VI and 1st Team Southland Conference All-Academic.
* Closer Chris Franklin named 3rd team All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
* Ty Summerlin is selected in the 30th round by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2009 MLB draft.
