Hargis Ranked in Perfect Game's ACBL Top 25 Summer Propsect List


Perfect Game Crosschecker, the premier baseball scouting operation in the country, recently recognized Southeastern Louisiana’s Cass Hargis as the #20 pro prospect in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League this past summer.

The junior outfielder from Meraux, LA spent the summer playing for the Riverhead Tomcats in Long Island, NY. Hargis highlighted his summer by being selected as a starting outfielder in the ACBL All-Star game. He went 2-3 with 2 stolen bases and scored a run in the Kaiser Division’s 11-0 win over the Wolff Division. For the summer, Hargis hit .272 with 1 HR, 6 2B, 11 RBI, and scored 21 runs.  He led the ACBL in stolen bases where he swiped 20 bags in 21 attempts.  Hargis also led the league in total plate appearances (166) and at bats (151).  The Tomcats finished the season 22-18 and were eliminated in the semi-finals of the playoffs.
