Lion Nation, believe it or not Southeastern Louisiana Baseball has already kicked off its preparation for the 2011 season. Fresh off of their first 40 win season in school history, Coach Jay Artigues and his staff welcomed back the players to campus yesterday. The baseball players were due into the locker room Tuesday afternoon for their first team meeting of the year. Following the meeting they attended a SLU student-athlete social.
Over the next few days the Lions will begin classes, along with having team meetings, physicals, weights & conditioning, and the first annual Lion Fun Run. The Lion Fun Run, which the guys have been waiting all summer for, will consist of the Lions running the mile together as a team.
On a side note - There will be a Baseball Parent Social/Meeting on Sunday September 19 at noon followed by a intra-squad game.

When will the 2011 schedule be released?
The schedule is usually released in late September.
