Green Wins Game Three 6-4, Takes Fall World Series

Here is the release from Game 2 of the Green/Gold World Series put out by the Southeastern baseball office.

After dropping game one of the Fall World Series, the Green Team came back to win on Friday before taking the three game series with a 6-4 victory today (Saturday).  Redshirt freshman Matt Pittari pitched the first four innings before turning it over to the bullpen for the Green Team.  Junior Josh Janway pitched 2 2/3 innings before turning it over to sophomore Stefan Lopez.  Lopez pitched 2 1/3 strong innings to earn the win on the mound.  Offensively the Green Team was led by Justin Boudreaux with 3 hits and Justin Brodnax with two hits.  Brock Hebert homered for the Green Team.

Game 1 - Gold 7  Green 2 13 innings (Gold leads series 1-0)

Game 2 - Green 5  Gold 1 (Series tied at 1)

Game 3 - Green 6  Gold 4 (Green wins Fall World Series 2-1)
