Gold Team Goes Up 2-0 in Fall World Series

Once again the Gold team jumped out to a comfortable lead with the Green team having another big late inning. But just as in game one, it wasn’t enough as the Gold team won game 2 6-3 to take a 2-0 lead in the five game series.

The Gold team got things started by scoring one run in the top of the 3rd and extended its lead by scoring 3 more runs in the 4th highlighted by a blast over the right field fence. In the top of the 6th the Gold plated one more run to extend the lead to 5-0. But in the bottom half of the 6th the Green team’s bats came to life as they scored 3 runs and had all the momentum on their side. However, just as they did in Game 1 the Gold team answered with a run in the top of the 7th to close out the scoring and win Game 2.

The Gold team finished the night with 8 hits while the Green team banged out 5.

Game 3 is scheduled for today at 5:00PM.

Game 1 - Gold 8 Green 7
Game 2 - Gold 6 Green 3
Game 3 - Thursday November 5 at 5:00
Game 4 - Saturday November 7 at 11:00 (Family Day starts at 10:00)
Game 5 - Sunday November 8 at noon

The Lions really look good this Fall. I think they are on the verge of busting on the national scene and making some noise in a regional.

Keep working hard Lions!
