With 27 days left until opening day in college baseball it is now time to reserve your seats at "The Pat" for the 2011 season. Get your tickets early because they will go fast, as the Lions will be facing the toughest schedule in school history with one of the most talented teams in school history.
Head coach Jay Artigues will be looking to showcase his most experienced team in his six years in Hammond, as he returns 8 position starters and 6 pitchers from his record breaking 2010 team. The Lions are coming off a record breaking season where they won 40 games for the first time in school history and won 21 Southland Conference games for the 2nd consecutive season. During the 2011 campaign Artigues looks to lead the Lions to their 4th straight trip to the SLC tournament and their first regional appearance since 1994.
Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field will play host to 25 games this spring including Sacred Heart University, Sunbelt Conference foe South Alabama, and in-state rivals Tulane, UL-Lafayette, Southern, and UNO. Southland Conference foes to visit “The Pat” are McNeese State, Lamar, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Nicholls State, and Stephen F. Austin.
