Did You Know?
Did you know...Former Lions pitcher Kirk Bullinger was the 1992 Trans America Athletic Conference (now the Atlantic Sun) Tournament MVP.
Bullinger pitched one of the greatest games in program history, leading the Lions to a 11-0 win over Florida International in the opening round of the TAAC tournament. The future major leaguer pitched a complete game shutout, surrendering only one hit and recording 10 strikeouts. SLU would go on to win the 1992 TAAC championship and capture a berth in the Tuscon, AZ Regional.
His one hit performance is still a conference tournament record.

Clemson Coach Pushing for "Livelier" Baseball
With the majority of college baseball coaches now supporting the BBCOR bats that were mandated two season ago, the focus is now shifting to a livelier baseball. The talk at the ABCA convention held last week in Chicago was the push by Jack Leggett, head coach at Clemson, to have college baseball use the same ball that is being used in the minor leagues.
Baseball America's Aaron Fitt takes an inside look at the push by Leggett to use a livelier baseball, along with the study that ABCA executive director Dave Keilitz has conducted.
