Wow! Talk about an in-depth pre-season ranking. Eric Sorenson with College Baseball Today introduces the most comprehensive pre-season ranking ever, as he ranks all 298 Division I baseball teams in the country with his College Baseball Today Top 298 Power Ranking.
The SLU Lions check in at number 43, as they are the highest ranked Southland Conference team. Sam Houston State, the defending SLC champions, come in at number 47. The Lions are the 2nd highest ranked Louisiana team behind LSU, who is ranked 9th. Other Louisiana schools ranked in the top 100 are Tulane (53), and Louisiana Tech (93).
Opening weekend is February 15th as the Lions take on UT-Martin in a three game series at The Pat.
