Lion Nation will get a chance to meet the 2013 Lions baseball team at the annual spring banquet, which is being held on Friday February 8th at Twelve Oaks on the Southeastern campus. The banquet is set to start at 7pm. Individual tickets for the banquet are $30 and will allow fans an opportunity to meet and dine with the team.
Head coach Jay Artigues will present the Lion For Life award, which goes to the Lion baseball alumnus the coaching staff feels best represents the program through community involvement. Last year Greg Marten, SLU's All-Time winningest coach, was the recipient of the inaugural award.
Wrapping up the weekend on Saturday February 9th will be the annual Lion Alumni Game, featuring former Lion greats playing the 2013 Lions. Admission to the game is free, as first pitch is set for 1pm at The Pat. This will be great opportunity to tour Alumni Field and see the new improvements, which were made possible by the Lions Athletic Association (LAA).
