ILB Players of the Week - Week 2



 



Inside Lions Baseball has named Josh Janway and Brock Hebert as the Players of the Week for week 2 of the 2012 season.

Pitcher of the Week - Senior RHP Josh Janway
In his first start of the 2012 season, Janway was lights out in helping lead the Lions in 1-0 series sweeping victory over Eastern Illinois.  The Parkview Baptist High product pitched a career high 7.2 innings giving up no runs on three hits and fanning seven Panthers.  Janway earned his first win of the season, as he lowered his ERA to a team leading 0.96 and is holding opponents to a .138 batting average.

Hitter of the Week - Junior 2B Brock Hebert

Earning his 2nd consecutive Hitter of the Week, Hebert went 5-12 (.417) with three doubles during the Lions four games this week.  The highlight of his week was his 2-4 performance in the 6-5 win over ULL on Wednesday night.  Against the Ragin Cajuns Hebert had two doubles, a walk, and scored two runs.  On the season the South Terrebonne High product leads the Lions in BA (.522), slugging % (.739), and OB% (.607).
