Lions Get Roughed Up in First Loss of Season

Going on the road for the first time this season was not kind to the SLU Lions, as they got roughed up by the Tulane Green Wave 12-1 in New Orleans.  SLU's (7-1) young bullpen gave up 12 runs, 11 of them earned, on 12 hits to a very potent Tulane (8-1) line-up who came into the game hitting .364 as team.  Offensively the Lions could not get going, as they only put up six hits and stranded 11 base runners.

The Lions will look to bounce back this weekend as they travel to Lake Charles to take on Central Michigan and McNeese State.

SLU     100 000 000 - 1 6 2
Tulane  001 340 40X - 12 14 0
