ILB Players of the Week - Week 13

Inside Lions Baseball has named Dylan Hills and Harry Slade as the Players of the Week for week 13 of the 2012 season.

Pitcher of the Week - Jr RHP Dylan Hills
In the Lions 4-2 win in game one of the double header with Sam Houston State on Saturday, Hills once again was the perfect setup man.  Coming in to relieve starter Andro Cutura in the 5th inning, Hills pitched 2.1 innings and faced the minimum of seven batters.  The Ponchatoula native was perfect giving up no runs, on no hits, issuing no walks and fanning three Bearkats, as he setup the save situation for closer Stefan Lopez.  On the year Hills is 8-3 with a 1.93 ERA, two saves, and has 42 strike outs in 37.1 innings pitched.  All of his appearances have come in relief.

Hitter of the Week - Jr OF Harry Slade
Slade led the Lions at the plate by hitting .429 (6-14) and notching two hits apiece in each game of the Lions three game series at Sam Houston State this weekend.  In the Lions 4-2 win Slade went 2-4 with a stolen base and scored a run.  In the Lions 3-2 loss in game two of the double header Slade's RBI double in the top of ninth tied the game at two, completing a 2-5 day.  On Sunday the Baltimore native finished the weekend going 2-5 in the Lions 8-3 loss.
