Lopez & Hebert Named All-Americans

Collegiate Baseball News named juniors Stefan Lopez and Brock Hebert to the 2012 Louisville Slugger All-American teams on Thursday.

Lopez was named 2nd team All-American after leading the nation in saves with 20 and becoming both the program and Southland Conference All-Time career saves leader with 30.  The New Iberia, LA native finished the season with a 0.61 ERA and 42 strikeouts over 29.1 innings, earning the SLC Relief Pitcher of the Year.

Hebert was a 3rd team All-American selection after being named the Southland Conference Hitter and Player of the Year, as he hit .374 with 2 HR's, 37 RBI's and finished 5th in the nation in steals with 36.  His 71 career steals is one shy of the school's All-Time career record.  The Bourg, LA native lead the SLC in runs scored with 58 and finished second in on-base percentage (.474), hits (85), and doubles (21).

The pair becomes Southeastern's 11th and 12th All-Americans and the 4th and 5th All-Americans in the Jay Artigues era
