Lions Drop Midweek Bout in the Big Easy

The SLU Lions lost their 3rd straight game as they fell 13-8 to Tulane in New Orleans on Tuesday night.  The Lions looked to take command of the game in the top of the 6th inning when they put three runs on the board to take a 6-4 lead.  However, the lead was short lived as the Greenwave, who takes the season series two games to one, answered in the bottom of the 6th with four runs going up 8-6 and never looking back.

Tulane put the game away in the 8th as they scored five more runs.  With the loss the Lions fall to 24-14 on the season.  They host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in Southland Conference series Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
