ILB Players of the Week - Week 10


Inside Lions Baseball has named Andro Cutura and Brock Hebert as the Players of the Week for week 10 of the 2012 season.

For the 3rd straight week Cutura is named Player of the Week, as he picked up his 4th straight Friday night victory in the Lions 5-2 win over UTSA.  Cutura gave up two runs on four hits to go along with a pair of strike outs.  After giving up a 1st inning home run, the freshman showed veteran poise, as he retired nine straight Roadrunners.  On the season Cutura is 5-1 with a 2.81 ERA and 25 strike outs.

The All-American season continues for the Lions second sacker, as Hebert went 9-21 (.429) with three multi hits games this week leading the Lions to a 3-2 record.  In five games this week Hebert had three doubles, six RBI's, a stolen base, and three runs scored.  In the Lions 5-2 win over UTSA on Friday night Hebert went 3-4, with 2 RBI's, a stolen base, and scored a run.  Hebert is the Southland Conference leader in hitting (.401), runs scored (44), hits (63), doubles (17) and stolen bases (30).
