Tailgating Area Gets Name

"The Jungle" - Baseball Tailgating Area at SLU

When the Lion Nation arrives for Southeastern Louisiana baseball games this year, tailgating at Alumni Field will look to reach new heights. And the first order of business to enhance the pre-game party was to give the tailgating area a name. ILB put three names to a vote and the overwhelming choice was “THE JUNGLE”.

Now the second step is for the Lion Nation to arrive early and “Get Crunk” in The Jungle. Bring your RV’s, tents, chairs, ice chest, food, music, and fly those Southeastern flags high as we get ready for the game. Lets make tailgating for SLU baseball games the biggest party in Hammond.

Be sure to let the Lil’ Lion Fans join the fun in THE JUNGLE. They can get an up close glimpse of their favorite Lion baseball players, as the team will walk through THE JUNGLE on their way to Alumni Field.

“Welcome to the jungle. We got fun ‘n’ games. We got everything you want. Honey we know the names.” … Just as Guns N’ Roses said in their 1987 hit song Welcome to the Jungle, Inside Lions Baseball welcomes the Lion Nation to “THE JUNGLE”.
