Here is journal #5 for the 2011 season.
Well Lion fans, it’s been a rough couple weeks for the Southeastern Louisiana baseball team. We have lost two conferences series’ in a row going 1-2 versus McNeese State and Central Arkansas. Needless to say the team has felt a bit down lately, but our morale is getting better and we are ready to turn things around. Our team is made up of some of the toughest people I know and we can handle adversity better than any other team around and we plan on changing the way things are going starting tonight versus Southern University in Baton Rouge. The game is going to be broadcast live on Cox Sports Television at 6pm. We also play Wednesday against UNO at “The Pat” at 6pm and we hope to see a lot of those famous Lion MANEiacs out in the stands cheering us on as we get back into playing some real Lion baseball.
Now I want to take some time to talk about something that has taken the Southeastern Louisiana baseball team by storm, Twitter. If you really want an inside look at what’s going on in some of your favorite Southeastern baseball player’s lives follow us on Twitter. Players that have an active Twitter account are; Josh Cryer(JoshuCryer30), Jonathan Pace(JPaceIII), Mat Cox(matc23), Cass Hargis(casshargis), Alex Marse(Amarse4), Jordan Hymel(Hymel10), Michael Rutland(mrutland11), Joseph Koon(jkoon15), Joe Sparacino(JoeSpa32), Trey Martin(tmar2), Brock Hebert(BrockHebert12), Steven Poche(poche38), Jacob Fisher(JFisher024), and myself Tyler Watkins(tylerwatkins27). So follow us Lions and see what we’re up to during the day and really get to know how we are off the field.
Well Lion Nation, it’s time for me to do some reading for my ONE class this semester so I can help the team get our 3.0 GPA. Remember watch our game on Cox Sports Television tonight at 6pm or make the short trip to Baton Rouge to see us in action in person and be sure to come out to “The Pat” tomorrow night as we take on UNO. We are a refocused team now and are really looking forward to showing everyone what kind of team we can be for the remainder of the season.
“It ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth.” -Rocky Balboa
Until next time MANEiacs,
GO GREEN
GO GOLD
GO LIONS
