Big First Inning Halts Lions Streak

A seven run first inning for the Tulane Greenwave proved too much for the Lions to overcome, as their four game winning streak was snapped in their 7-3 loss to the Wave on Tuesday night in New Orleans.  The two big blows the Wave delivered in the inning were a two run double and a three run home run.

The Lions bullpen held the Wave scoreless and limited them to just 4 hits the rest of the night.  Offensively SLU could never get anything going as they stranded 10 runners and hit into three double plays.  With the loss the Lions fall to 12-5 on the season.

The Lions are back in action as they face Southland Conference foe McNeese State at "The Pat" this weekend.
