ILB Players of the Week - Week 3

                                       

Inside Lions baseball has named Josh Janway and Jeff Harkensee as the Players of the Week for week three of the 2011 season.

Pitcher of the Week - Junior RHP Josh Janway
Janway, getting his first appearance of the 2011 season, pitched 5.1 innings in relief on Saturday against Sacred Heart.  The Jan-Man came in and stopped the bleeding in the Lions 9-8 loss, as he gave up no earned runs on 6 hits, issued one walk, and  struck out 9 Pioneers.

Hitter of the Week - Senior OF Jeff Harkensee
Harkensee was a RBI machine during week 3 as he hit .400 over the 5 games with 10 RBI's.  The Arlington Heights, IL native was 8-20, with 2 2B, HR, and 10 RBI.  He had three multi RBI games during the week along with 3 multi hit games.  Harkensee's week was highlighted by his 2-4 performance against LSU where he launched his 4th homerun of the season and his 3-5 night against Sacred Heart on Saturday, which included a 2B, 4 RBI, and a stolen base.
