What to Watch For
The SLU Lions look to rebound from their 7-3 loss to #7 LSU on Tuesday night as they open up a five game home stand at "The Pat" against Sacred Heart.  The Pioneers, members of the Northeast Conference, are 2-1 on the season with wins over Northeastern and St. Bonaventure.  Their loss is to Rhode Island.

Last Time They Played:  The Lions and Pioneers played during the second weekend of the 2009 season at "The Pat".  Southeastern won the series winning on Friday 10-9 and on Sunday 22-4.  Sacred Heart won the Saturday game 13-8.

SLU Top Hitters:  Brock Hebert (.433/1/4), Cass Hargis (.412/0/6), and Jeff Harkensee (.400/4/10)

Notes:
After going 4-0 last week and winning the South Alabama Classic the Lions jumped to #5 in the College Baseball Daily Mid-Major Top 25 Poll. 

Collegebaseballlineup.com had the the Lions ranked #30 in their most recent poll.  SLU received votes this past week in both the NCBWA and USA Today/ESPN Coaches' polls.

RHP Brandon Efferson is 2-0 on the season giving him 18 career wins, which ranks 8th all-time in school history.  With his next win he will move into 7th place.  With two more wins he will jump to 4th all time.

With three doubles last week Cass Hargis has 46 career doubles moving him past Kenny Langlois for 2nd all time.  Ty Summerlin is the career doubles leader with 63.

Coach Jay Artigues is three wins shy of reaching career win number 175.
