ILB Players of the Week - Week 4

Inside Lions Baseball has named Brandon Efferson and Jonathan Pace as the Players of the Week for week 4 of the 2011 season.

Pitcher of the Week - Senior RHP Brandon Efferson
Efferson was lights out agianst UTSA on Friday night as pitched a complete game shut out in the Lions 6-0 win.  Efferson held UTSA to three hits, as he struck out nine and only issued one walk.  The Zachary, LA native retired the final 13 batters he faced running his record to 3-0 on the season.

Hitter of the Week - Junior 3B Jonathan Pace
Pace hit safely in all four games this week recording 3 multi hit games and extending his hitting streak to 13 games.  The Terry, MS native hit .471 going 8-17 with 2 2B, 4 RBI, stole a base and scored 4 runs.  His week was highlighted by his 3-5, 4 RBI day in the Lions 8-5 win over UTSA on Saturday.
