Senior RHP Chris Franklin was named the Southland Conference Pitcher of the Week for his performance on Sunday in a 11-3 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
Franklin, making his first career start, pitched a complete game four hitter. He allowed three hits through the first two innings before allowing two Islander base runners the rest of the way. The Oneonta, AL native retired the final 12 batters he faced and finished with seven strikeouts.
