In an interesting turn, the SLU Lions have dropped out of one poll in which they have been ranked for the last 6 weeks and have entered another that has not had them in their Top 30 for the last six weeks. Any way you look at it the Lions are on the national scene.
In the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper poll, who first ranked SLU after their 3 game sweep at Mississippi State, the Lions fell out of the poll and are unranked this week. For the last six weeks Baseball America has had their eye on SLU but would not include them in their rankings. However, with a 3-2 week and an impressive series win over Texas State, the Lions enter the Baseball America Top 25 at #25. In the USA/Today ESPN Coaches poll SLU fell one spot to #24. The NCBWA poll has not been released as of 4:00pm.

NCBWA just out. SLU up to number 20. I see no justification for dropping out of the one after a series win over Texas St.
