Hebert Named SLU Student Athlete of the Week

Freshman 2B Brock Hebert has been named the Southeastern Male Student Athlete of the week for the week of April 12.

Hebert, a Bourg, LA native, extended his hitting streak to a season-high 12 games (the longest streak by a Lion player this season) with a 2-for-3 performance against UT Arlington … extended his streak with a two-run home run to help No. 22 Southeastern to a 6-0 victory and series win over the Mavs … recorded the first four-hit game of his career in an 11-5 win on Saturday, adding an RBI and run scored and a stolen base … went 3-for-4 with two RBI against UTA on Friday and was 9-for-12 (.750) in the three-game series … went 2-for-4 and hit his first career home run in a wild 12-11 loss at then Sun Belt Conference leader South Alabama on Tuesday.

The South Terrebonne High product is a Kinesiology major.

Hebert becomes the fourth Lions baseball player to be named Male Student Athlete of the Week, joining Josh Janway, Brandon Efferson, and Cass Hargis.
