The #17th ranked SLU baseball team ran its winning streak to six games as it beat Southland Conference foe McNeese State 6-5 in Lake Charles Friday night. The Lions move to 17-1 on the season and 4-0 in the SLC.
Cass Hargis led the Lions at the plate going 3-5 with a 2B, RBI and a run scored. Josh Cryer stayed hot, as he went 2-4 with a HR. Brock Hebert continued to come through with runners in scoring position, as he was 2-4 with 3 RBI.
Tyler Watkins picked up his 2nd win of the season as he gave up 2 runs on 7 hits and struck out 7. Chris Franklin closed the door on the Cowboys as he earned his 5th save of the season.
