The #29 ranked Southeastern Lions remained unbeaten as they beat the ULL Ragin Cajuns 11-4 at Alumni Field to move to 9-0 on the season. With the win the Lions have now beaten their in-state rivals 4 straight times.
Chris Franklin earned his third save of the season, making him the all time saves leader in school history with 15. Franklin surpassed Chris Province who set the record during the 2007 season. Tyler Watkins picked up his first win of the season as he gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. At the plate the Lions were led by Jeff Harkensee (3-4, 2B, RBI, 3 Runs), Justin Boudreaux (3-4, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 Runs) and Brock Hebert (2-3, 2B, 4 RBI, 1 Run). Cody Gougler also recorded a hit, RBI, and 1 Run.
SLU will return to action this weekend as they wrap up a five game home stand when they take on Texas Southern on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
