Inside Lions Baseball has named Justin Boudreaux and Tanner Lorenz as the Players of the Week for Week 3 of the 2010 season.

Hitter of the Week - Sophomore SS Justin Boudreaux
Boudreaux hit .444 as he led the Lions to a 4-1 record for the week. The Prairieville, La
native went 8-18 with 2 2B, 3B, HR, 7 RBI, 6 runs scored and stole 3 bases for the week. His week was highlighted by his Friday night performance in a 14-8 win over Texas Southern when he went 2-4 with a HR, 4 RBI, 2 runs scored, was hit by a pitch and stole 3 bases. Against ULL on Wednesday night Boudreaux was 3-4 with a 2B, 2RBI, and 2 runs scored. Boudreaux reached base in all five games.

Pitcher of the Week - Junior RHP Tanner Lorenz
Lorenz earned his first win of the season as he pitched 5 innings giving up 2 runs (1 earned) on 5 hits and striking out 9 against Jackson State on Tuesday night. On Sunday against Texas Southern the Harvey, ND native recorded 7 strikeouts as he pitched 7.1 innings giving up no runs on 5 hits. For the season Lorenz (1-0) leads the Lions with a 0.64 ERA, 18 strikeouts, and is holding opponents to a .120 BA.
