The #29 ranked Southeastern Lions improved to 8-0 on the year with an 18-2, seven inning victory over Jackson State on a very cold night at Alumni Field on Tuesday.
The Lions scored 18 runs on only 7 hits, but earned plenty of free passes as the Tigers walked 15 batters. Jeff Harkensee continued his assault of opposing pitchers by going 3-5 with 2 2B, 4 RBI, and 2 runs scored. Tanner Lorenz picked up his first win giving up 1 hit over 5 innings and striking out 9.
SLU returns to action Wednesday night to face in-state rival UL-Lafayette at Alumni Field. First pitch is slated for 6:00pm.

Thought you may want to mention this: no KSLU/Southeastern radio for Wednesday due to basketball conflict... but the Cajuns' radio crew will be there... so Lion baseball fans not in Hammond (or in Hammond, for that matter) can listen to it on their station's web site: espn1420.com.
